So you’ve done a little bit of acting, but you’d like to do some more?

You’ve never stepped on stage, but you’d like to try it?

Your kids do it all the time, and it looks like fun?

You’d like a leg-up for the next audition you attend?

You did some acting in school and would like to do it again?

Never Too Late is designed for you!

On four consecutive Wednesday nights in September, you will work with dramatic scenes and monologues, be coached by directors and actors, discuss principles of theatre, and learn improvisational skills.  The emphasis will be on realistic acting and developing characterization.  You’ll work seriously and have fun at the same time.

This is a fund-raising activity for Theatre Coppell.

At least five participants will need to enroll in order for us to create the workshop.

Children's Theatre Workshop


STARS ARE BORN!

August 17 - 21, 2009, 9:00 a.m. to noon

For Grades K - 5
(grade in next school year)

Aspiring young thespians will take part in exciting activities in performance of scenes, make-up techniques, stage movement, and auditioning tips – all taught by actors and technicians who have practical knowledge and experience in the theatre arts.  All materials are provided, including a mid-session snack and a T-shirt to be designed by participants themselves.  Parents and friends are invited to watch the “wrap-up performance” on the last day.

Fee, $125 per child

Theatre Coppell's Advanced Children's Theatre Workshop

"The Firehouse Players"

June 15 - 19, 2009, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Theatre Coppell sponsors this workshop for those who have already mastered basic elements of children’s theatre.  We can accept only those children who have already taken our first workshop or who have had special experience in performing.  We will consider requests from children who have not taken our previous workshop on an individual basis.

This workshop will emphasize acting techniques and technical skills and will create a short production by the end of the week, which parents and friends may attend free of charge.  A daily mid-session snack and a T-shirt designed by the actor are included.

Daily sessions are held at the Coppell Center for the Arts, 157 S. Moore Road in Coppell.

Fee, $150 per child
